Genkai-ji (Ineffable Ocean Temple) Zen Center
is a nonprofit religious organization,
located at 400 Hickory Grove Blvd,
in Clarksville, Tennessee.
We provide a space for contemplation
and renewal in a supportive environment.
The Center practice is based upon the
Rinzai Zen lineage of Myoshin-ji Monastery
in Kyoto, Japan, and as taught by
Zen Master Kyozan Joshu Roshi.

Everyone, regardless of experience or faith, is welcome to attend all or
part of our schedule which includes Sunday morning service,
from 9:30AM to 11:00AM, with 2 meditation periods (zazen), chanting, walking
meditation (kinhin), and discussion. An orientation for beginners and
those new to Genkai-ji Zen Center is held at 9:00 AM each Sunday or by
appointment. There is also samu (work practice) offered occasionally on the
grounds of the Center, apart from our weekly Sunday morning program.
